History
The university can trace its history back to April, 1941. With the development for decades, the university has made great contributions to health work and medical education. Hubei Normal University is the only multi-discipline comprehensive higher education institution directly under the Educational Administration in southeast Hubei Province. About the University

The University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), founded in 1952, is a national key university under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education of China. About the University

ZMU is LISTED in the top ten universities in China.

ZMU’s curriculum is based on the syllabus of Medical Council of India. Preferred by the students from India who are provided with separate classrooms and other facilities like food and hostel. The School of Medicine of Xi'an Jiaotong University, which used to be the School of Medicine of National Peking University, founded in 1937 was renamed Xi'an Medical University in 1985 and later it became “The School of Medicine” of Xi'an Jiaotong University In 1995, the University established the Program of Clinical Medicine for International Students, began to enroll qualified international students, aiming to produce clinicians and doctors served in clinics and hospitals.It is one of the top medical science school directly attached to the Ministry of Health and a branch of Academy of Medical Science in China. About 40,000 advanced medical experts have been cultivated in 70 years since its founding.

School of Medicine is one of 17 schools of Xi’an Jiaotong University. The School was created on the basis of the former Xi’an Medical University in 2000. With several generations of diligent work and contributions, the School of Medicine has developed high academic levels for study and this has made it one of China’s most prestigious schools in this field.

The First Clinical Hospital and the Second Clinical Hospital of the School of Medicine are large, comprehensive hospitals with 2,563 beds, using the latest equipment and technologies such as digital subtract apparatus, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), CAT scan, ECT, photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and a BI-Photons linear accelerator. In addition to serving as centers for training in clinical medicine, these two hospitals also provide other opportunities for medical education, as well as providing for medical care, scientific research, health prevention and community health care.

Since the University established the Program in Clinical Medicine for International Students in 1995, excellent teachers, an innovative curriculum and modernized equipment have allowed it to host more international students in this field than any other university in China. Qualification and Application

The International Students Affairs Office (ISAO) of the University is responsible for admissions and serves as a liaison for all international students at Xi’an Jiaotong University.

I. Qualification for Admission

1. Undergraduate students must provide a high school diploma, high school transcript and be under the age of 30

2. Master’s candidates must provide a university diploma with a minimum of a bachelor degree, a university transcript and two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, and be under the age of 40

3. Doctoral candidates must provide a master’s degree, transcript and two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, and be under the age of 45

4. Short Course students must have at least a high school diploma, or graduate equivalent diploma, and be between 18 and 65 years old

Notes: 1. International students who apply for study at the University should be in good health, have sufficient financial support, fluent English, and have a health certificate which shows them to be free of HIV, Syphilis and hepatitis C (HCV) and which includes a chest X-ray. The certificate should be completed by qualified doctors working at district hospitals or general hospitals. International students are expected to obey the Chinese laws and university regulations during their period of study at the University.

Notes: 2. International students who apply for Master’s or Doctoral programs are required to pass the major tests administered by the University.

II. Application Procedure:

Download the official application form, physical examination form and other documents from Xi’an Jiaotong University’s website.

Mail the completed forms and accompanying documents to ISAO, Xi’an Jiaotong University.

The ISAO will check the documents and inform applicants whether they have been accepted.

Accepted applicants should reply with a confirmation letter accompanied by application fee US$50.

After receiving the conformation letters and application fees, ISAO will begin the formalities related to the official admission in order to obtain the JW202 form.

The ISAO will mail the JW202 form, the Admission Notice and other necessary documents to the qualified applicants.

The accepted applicant should take the Admission Notice and the JW202 form to the nearest Chinese Embassy or consulate in their home country to apply for a Study Visa (X visa).

Incoming students are responsible for arranging transportation in a timely manner. They should inform the ISAO in advance of their scheduled means and time of arrival. The University will prepare to receive them and arrange for room and board.
