Accommodation

ICP accommodation services

Once you have accepted an offer to study at ICP you may then wish for ICP support services to help arrange your accommodation in Portsmouth or offer advice about the best option for you.A vibrant coastal city with easy access to London, Portsmouth is a great place to live and provides some of the least expensive student accommodation in the south of England. Our support staff are

experts on the local area and will be more than happy to help you find somewhere suitable to stay whilst studying at ICP.

Homestay

For many students, the opportunity to stay with a local family, off-campus and in the community, offers a special appeal. As a homestay student, you will have the chance to be a part of the family, taking part in family activities and celebrating special occasions. It is also a great way for students to learn about British culture whilst improving their English at the same time.

Homestay normally includes two meals a day (breakfast and dinner) with flexibility to arrange three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Homestay options At ICP we recognise the importance of safe and comfortable accommodation. For many of our

students, studying at ICP will be the first time they have lived away from their family and friends for a long period of time. For this reason we take the accommodation of our students very seriously and are always here to provide help and advice if needed. There is a range of various accommodation options available in Portsmouth , meaning that all of our students can feel that they have a ‘home away from home’ whilst studying at ICP. This not only allows you to concentrate on your studies but also makes

your experience of living and learning in another country all the more enjoyable.can be tailored to your needs and can include extra benefits such as a laundry service. On average, a homestay will cost between £1200 to £1600 per semester (15 weeks maximum). ICP operates a referral service for those students wishing to take up homestay. Many students enjoy the homestay option as it provides an opportunity to live with a locally approved family and join in all that home life in the UK has to offer. You will

be a part of family celebrations and have an insight into British culture at the same time as improving your English language.

Shared accommodation

Shared accommodation is difficult to arrange from overseas. ICP appreciates this and offers a referral service to local landlords so that you can plan your accommodation arrangements before your arrival should you wish to organise this privately. ICP student services will be happy to facilitate communication with local landlords and, on average, shared accommodation rent will start from around £50 per week. Portsmouth   boasts a range of different types of accommodation, varying from traditional terrace properties to luxurious waterfront apartments and there really is something for all tastes and budgets.
