Academic programmes

International Foundation programme

If you have completed secondary education in your home country, the International Foundation programme provides academic

preparation for first year undergraduate entry comparable to UK A-levels and ensures that you meet the English language

requirements for your chosen degree programme. The programme is offered in partnership with NCUK (the Northern

Consortium of UK Universities) and is recognised by Queen’s University for direct entry to a wide range of undergraduate

degree programmes.

There are two broad pathways in:

Business, Humanities and Social Sciences,

Science, Engineering, Computing and Mathematics.

s

The pathways combine academic study, intensive English language preparation, study

skills and cultural orientation. Upon successful completion of the relevant Foundation pathway and subject

to achieving the specified grades for progression to your chosen degree, you will be guaranteed entry to the first year

of a wide range of undergraduate courses offered by the University.

Graduate Diploma

The Graduate Diploma programme offers international students who do not qualify for direct entry to the University, a

pathway into postgraduate studies at a UK university. The Centre offers a single pathway in

Business and Social Sciences, which combines intensive academic preparation in key academic subjects, the development

of the necessary English language and postgraduate research skills. Upon successful completion of the relevant

Graduate Diploma pathway and subject to achieving the specified grades for progression to your chosen degree, you

will be guaranteed progression onto a number of designated postgraduate degree programmes within Queen’s University

Management School .
